Yumi Umemura profile

東京生まれ。上智大学卒業。料理研究家、テーブルコーディネーター。

全国料理協会会員。食育インストラクター。

料理書の翻訳、食品会社や料理学校のレシピ制作を経て、93年東京朝日カルチャーセンター「食卓の演出と料理」の講座を契機に日本だけではなく、世界各地で料理教室を開催。また海外ではおすしをはじめとする日本料理の指導に携わる。

現在、プランタン銀座、自宅サロンで料理とテーブルコーディネートの教室を主宰する。海外生活や旅行を通し、旅先や心に残ったシーンをテーマにした食卓と料理でくつろぎの空間を演出する講座には定評がある。

雑誌では、「オレンジページ」、「きょうの料理」など、テレビでは「はなまるマーケット（ＴＢＳ系）」、「エプロンメモ（ＮＨＫ）」、「レディス４（テレビ東京）」などで活躍。著書に「ケーキの本（講談社）」、「華やかおすしでおもてなし（ソニーマガジンズ） 」、「にぎやかおすし（ソニーマガジンズ）」ほか。

Yumi Umemura was born in Tokyo and graduated from Sophia University. She is a cooking consultant, teaches international cooking and creative decoration at Asahi Cultural Center in Shinjuku, the Printemps department store in Ginza, and at several other places including her residence in Setagayaku,Tokyo.
She writes for papers and magazines.
Her works include "The Little Book of Cakes", by Kodansha International.
She is a member of the Culinary School Association of Japan.
